Leadership and Character in the Law Conference (2025 – upcoming)

The Wake Forest School of Law and the Program for Leadership and Character will host the inaugural Leadership and Character in the Law Conference on March 27-28, 2025. This two-day event at Wake Forest University will be hosted in partnership with the Association of American Law Schools (AASL) Leadership Section. The conference aims to provide resources and strategies to a meaningful community of law educators who can learn from and support each other in the work of educating character. Save the date here.

Educating Character Across Differences, presented by our Educating Character Initiative (ECI), is an international, interdisciplinary conference that aims to explore opportunities for cultivating communities of character among university faculty, staff, and students across a variety of differences. This event will be held at Wake Forest University December 5-7, 2024.

Educating Character Across the University (2022)

More than 200 educators, administrators, and staff from colleges and universities across the country and world gathered to highlight promising work on character education in the university context and strengthen a community of scholars across institutions and academic communities focused on educating character in their contexts.

Character and the Professions (2021)

This virtual conference sought to explore the role of character in the professions and elevate the virtues that are most important for professionals across six professional contexts: public life, religious leadership, engineering and technology, medicine, business, and law.
