Research Assistant for the Center for Personal and Professional Development


Bio

Julia-Grace Polich is a Research Assistant for the Center for Personal and Professional Development. She leads program assessement, evaluation, and research for the School of Medicine’s character and professional identity formation efforts. She received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering  from Virginia Commonwealth University, and she began this position after defending her doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on biomechanics and human injury, in a joint program between Virginia Tech and Wake Forest University. Her doctoral research efforts created quantitative metrics from qualitative issues surrounding military-issued boot design. Before joining the Center for Personal and Professional Development, Julia-Grace was a mathematics specialist at Forsyth Country Day School in Lewisville, NC supporting students in grades 3 through 12 with learning difficulties in a 1:1 environment to regain their mathematical literacy.
