Scholar of Character


Elizabeth Whiting is a Scholar of Character in the Educating Character Initiative (ECI) at Wake Forest University. In this role, her primary focus is on equipping ECI community members with pedagogical strategies to support their own and learners’ development of moral agency. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Trevecca Nazarene University, an M.Div. from Vanderbilt University, and a Ph.D. in Religion from Emory University, with a concentration in Religion, Conflict, and Peacebuilding. She serves as the Interim Ombuds at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
