$1.68 million from John Templeton Foundation to Study Exemplars
How do moral role models help us develop our character? That is the question animating an international network of research studies led by Dr. Eranda Jayawickreme, Associate Professor of Psychology, and Dr. Michael Lamb, Executive Director of the Program for Leadership and Character. A $1.68 million grant from the John Templeton Foundation will fund five interdisciplinary teams, including two led by Jayawickreme and Lamb at Wake Forest, to advance research on the impact of exemplars on character formation.
The Program for Leadership and Character will use resources from the grant to design and assess programming with undergraduate and professional school students at Wake Forest.
“We are grateful for this support from the John Templeton Foundation and excited about how it will help us educate leaders of character at Wake Forest and beyond,” said Lamb.
