Communities of Impact Grants
The Educating Character Initiative awards Communities of Impact (CoI) Grants of up to $75,000 to multi-institutional teams of practitioners and scholars across U.S. colleges and universities and beyond to form intentional communities organized around a timely concern or aim in character education, and whose work will produce practical resources to address these needs. These one-year grants provide a timely opportunity for practitioners and scholars to address significant questions, challenges, and needs for character-building efforts across the sector of higher education. Outstanding CoIs will be eligible to apply for sustaining funds for work beyond the initial year in the form of grants for up to an additional $75,000. Competitive applications will create opportunities for collective learning through publication, convenings, conferences, and workshops, and produce practical, adaptable, publicly shareable resources that address the character formation needs of faculty, staff, and administration.
