Ogden Phipps II is a co-founding partner of Snow Phipps, a private equity firm headquartered in New York City. Prior to forming the firm in 2005, he was a founding partner and president of Guggenheim Merchant Banking, the private equity arm of Guggenheim Capital. He also worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Gleacher Partners and the Leverage Finance Group at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Phipps earned a bachelor’s in economics from Wake Forest University. Having previously served on the University’s Young Alumni Development Board, he was elected to the board of trustees in 2013 and is currently serving his third term. Ogden is also a trustee of Bessemer Trust, Bessemer Securities, and New York Presbyterian Hospital and sits on numerous corporate boards, including Amarok, Brook & Whittle, BlackHawk, ECRM, Teasdale Foods, and Velocity Commercial Capital. Upholding his family’s fifth-generation horse racing and breeding legacy, he is a co-owner and manager of Phipps Family Stable, an iconic thoroughbred breeder, and serves on the board of directors of the New York Racing Association.
