The Program is thrilled to announce the creation of the Leadership and Character Council. With 36 esteemed members, the Council will provide support, feedback, and fresh ideas to the Program for Leadership and Character while advising senior staff on strategic planning and programming.

Dan Bryant, Senior Vice President of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs at Walmart, and Anne Snyder, Editor-in-Chief of Comment, are co-chairs of the Council. Other members include, among others, New York Times journalist David Brooks, GE CEO Larry Culp, MacArthur genius award winner Angela Duckworth, Broadway star Renée Elise Goldsberry, former Tennessee governor Bill Haslam, civil rights activist Valarie Kaur, interfaith leader Eboo Patel, Aspen Institute President Dan Porterfield, former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, author and broadcaster Krista Tippett, and a number of other distinguished scholars and leaders, including several members of the Wake Forest community.
