Dr. Michael Lamb, Executive Director of the Program for Leadership and Character and Assistant Professor of Politics, Ethics, and Interdisciplinary Humanities, gave an expert briefing to the Oxford Character Project on September 16, 2020. Lamb, who previously helped to launch the Oxford Character Project and remains a Research Fellow, presented on the work of the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest and shared research on his “Commencing Character” class. The conversation that followed focused on pedagogical strategies for integrating character education into the university.

The exchange is part of an ongoing partnership between the Program for Leadership and Character and the Oxford Character Project to encourage leadership and character development within higher education. Together, the Program has collaborated with the Oxford Character Project to co-sponsor two international conferences on leadership and character, and they will host another on “Character and the Professions” at Wake Forest on March 18-20, 2021.
