At Wake Forest’s 2026 commencement, Amaya Williams (’26) spoke about finding a new path at Wake Forest University. “Wake stopped feeling like a place that we were just passing through, and it became the place that we were learning how to become,” she said. “Not how to become a perfect, polished, finished version of ourselves, but how to become more honest about who we are, what we value, and the kind of people that we want to be.”
