Bio
Kate Lord is the Director of Communications for the Educating Character Initiative in The Program for Leadership and Character. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Individualized Study from NYU, specializing in Digital Advocacy and Brand Communication. Her master’s thesis examined the ethics of storytelling practices in the nonprofit sector. Kate’s professional experience includes roles at New York University, The Wall Street Journal, and global girls’ rights organization She’s the First. Additionally, her work has appeared in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, The New York Times, and The Associated Press, among other publications.
