The Leadership and Character in Medicine and Law Cohort

The Program for Leadership and Character in the Professional Schools at Wake Forest University aims to bring together a small interdisciplinary group of law and medical students to further explore professional identity (values, guiding principles, and wellbeing practices) through meaningful conversations and opportunities to build peer connections across disciplines.

This program is at no cost to students and funded through the Program for Leadership and Character. We ask that all interested cohort members plan to commit to monthly in-person gatherings, as well as a weekend retreat in Fall 2025.

• August: Welcome Meeting (Date/Time TBD)
• September: Lake Retreat – September 12–14 2025 at Lake Norman (approximately 1 hour from campus)
  Join us Friday evening through Sunday morning for conversations, relaxation, and time at the lake. Lodging and meals are provided.

• October–April: Monthly gatherings featuring a shared meal and discussion focused on topics related to professional identity (Dates/Times TBD)
