Research Coordinator


Bio

Ben Waggener is the Research Coordinator for the Program for Leadership and Character Development in the Professional Schools. His focus is on research and evaluation that supports the Program’s activities in the Law School and the School of Medicine. Before this role, Ben earned his M.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University, where he conducted research with Dr. Eranda Jayawickreme examining how trade-offs between societal happiness and individuals’ political values influence their judgments of hypothetical societies. He completed his B.A. in Psychology from Elon University where he worked under Dr. William Schreiber and developed a novel paradigm for studying behavioral learning in harvester ants. His primary research interest is how people’s values and beliefs relate to their thinking and behaviors.
