Kenneth Townsend Speaks at Georgia State University College of Law

On February 17, 2020, Kenneth Townsend, Director of Leadership and Character in the Professional Schools and Scholar-in-Residence at the Wake Forest School of Law, gave an invited talk at the Georgia State University College of Law.

His talk, “Why Liberalism Persists: The Neglected Life of Law in the Story of Liberalism’s Decline,” centered on law’s role in individual and collective meaning-making and argued that liberalism—broadly defined—is more resilient than some recent critics have suggested.  The article upon which Townsend’s presentation was based has been accepted for publication by the St. John’s Law Review and will appear in its fall 2020 volume.
