Michael Schur is the author of How to Be Perfect: The Correct Answer To Every Moral Question and created the NBC sitcom The Good Place. He’s also worked on shows like The Office (where he had a recurring part as Dwight Schrute’s cousin Mose), Master of None, The Comeback, and Hacks, and created or co-created Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, and Rutherford Falls. He joined us for “How To Be Perfect: An Evening With Michael Schur” on Monday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Brendle Recital Hall inside the Scales Fine Arts Center. Our Director of Programming (and Good Place superfan) Ann Phelps moderated the discussion about character, ethics, television shows, and why none of the characters in the Good Place can swear.
This community event was free and open to the public.
Many thanks to our co-sponsors for this event: Wake Forest Film and Media Studies, the School of Divinity, the Department of Philosophy, and Wake The Arts.
