Tom Dingledine

Tom Dingledine is president of Virginia Exploration Inc., a firm holding real estate interests in commercial property and undeveloped land. Previously, he headed Exploration Partners LLC, an oil and gas exploration company based in Charlottesville, Virginia. Throughout his careers in banking, energy, real estate development, and subtle energy/biofield healing and human connection/consciousness, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to corporate ethics and social stewardship while also enabling the next generation of leaders to do the same. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Mr. Dingledine earned his M.B.A. from Wake Forest in 1978 and has since remained an advocate for the University. He has been a generous benefactor of visionary programs across the University that aim to elevate and strengthen Wake Forest’s motto, Pro Humanitate. He has supported the Program for Leadership and Character and endowed the Thomas A. Dingledine Fund for Responsible Business at the Babcock Graduate School of Management, the Dingledine Scholarship for Positive Social Impact, the Molly Dingledine Art Scholarship Fund, the Dingledine Faculty Fund for Support of International Activities and created Beyond Being, a two-day symposium at Wake Forest examining consciousness and survival. His commitment to education initiatives has also extended to a girls school in Kenya and other institutions of higher education, including the University of Virginia and James Madison University. He currently serves on the advisory board of University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies in the Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Science and is involved in bringing the use of subtle energy into mainstream health care. Previously serving as chair of the advisory board of Wake Forest’s Babcock School (now the School of Business), he has served as a Wake Forest Trustee since 2008 and was honored as a Life Trustee in 2020.
