Larry Culp

Larry Culp is a business executive, currently serving as the chairman and CEO of General Electric Company (GE). The first outsider to ever run the company, he took charge of GE in 2018, bringing with him more than a decade of success as president and CEO of the global science and technology conglomerate, Danaher Corporation. Mr. Culp led Danaher from 2000 to 2014, a time in which the company quintupled its revenues and market capitalization to $20 billion and $50 billion, respectively. Harvard Business Review named him one of the Top 50 CEOs in the world.
After retiring from his position at Danaher in 2014, Mr. Culp was drawn to higher education, recognizing its role in developing talent and shaping the next generation of leaders. He was elected board chair at his alma mater, Washington College, and has served on the Wake Forest Board of Trustees since 2015. Mr. Culp also joined the faculty at Harvard Business School, where he had earned his MBA, as a senior lecturer, teaching leadership and general management.
