Students who might be interested in becoming a Leadership and Character Scholar are academically talented students who have also demonstrated exceptional leadership, service and character during high school and who are committed to being part of an intensive four-year program to develop their leadership and character. This includes students who have led student organizations, been involved in meaningful community service or received strong recommendations from faculty or peers that speak to their character and values. We will also seek students who have demonstrated leadership and character in unconventional ways. To be eligible for the Leadership and Character Scholarship, students must apply for, and qualify for, need-based financial aid in their first year.

How will students be selected?
The Admissions Office will identify excellent candidates through the process of interviewing applicants, reviewing applications and reading recommendation letters. Finalists will be invited to participate in the Scholarship Weekends and interview with a committee who will make the final selections.
